That's the question we built for. Most people have no way to tell a computer having a slow morning from a computer with a real problem, so they either worry about nothing for a week or ignore something they shouldn't have. Subscribers get a health grade for each machine, in plain English, with the reasons listed underneath: antivirus reporting in, threats caught, updates, how long since it restarted. When every check comes back, it says so. When one of them can't be completed, it says that too, instead of showing you a green light it hasn't earned. And if something needs doing, you'll see it, and so will Henry.

Sign in with your phone number and a PIN, and you'll see each of your computers with a plain-English grade and the reasons behind it: whether your antivirus is reporting in, what's been caught and removed, how your updates look, how long it's been since the machine restarted, and whether your email has turned up in a known data breach.

The part we're proudest of is what it won't do. If a check doesn't come back, because the machine is off or a look-up failed, it doesn't quietly count that as good news. It says Checking for updates, or Can't confirm now, and the grade holds back until it knows. If a computer hasn't checked in at all, it doesn't show a score at all; it shows Can't confirm and tells you the last time we heard from it. A number you can't trust isn't worth showing you.

Don't panic. Don't click anything suspicious, and don't enter passwords or banking info until Henry has reviewed what's going on. If you’d like filters set up (parental controls for a kid’s computer, stricter rules on a work device, or specific categories blocked on your business endpoints), just ask, and we’ll set that up as a separate, clearly defined opt-in. For businesses, those rules are confirmed with the owner first; nothing changes silently.

Then our own system checks back to confirm they actually landed, and flags the machines where they didn't. The consumer antivirus boxes don't do this for you: Norton, McAfee, TotalAV leave updates up to you, and none of them come back afterward to check that anything actually landed.
